Audio Services ranging from concert, field and studio recordings, to full postproduction services including digital editing and compact disk mastering, and CD-ROM multimedia production services. Serving some of the leading classical music artists and ensembles in the area for over 10 years, and providing CD masters for archiving as well as for commercial CD publication,and for broadcast on public radio. Some of our latest CD's are "Sidewalk Blues" featuring Elite Syncopations, and Masses of Palestrina and Josquin DesPrez, performed by the Saint Gregory Society's Schola Cantorum .. We also served for several years as the recording engineers and producers of record for the Connecticut Early Music Festival, the Yale University Collection of Musical Instruments, Orchestra New England, John Solum's famed "Hanoverian Ensemble", and the New World Jazz Orchestra. among others. And the exciting new album "TRAFIK" of Klezmer - East European folk music performed by VERETSKI PASS will be released Fall 2007 on the "Golden Horn" label.

In 1999, two new releases attracted a great deal of attention: Just published, our latest recording of the Saint Gregory Society's performance of a Mass of Tomas Luis de Victoria, recorded in the acoustic splendor of New Haven's Church of the Sacred Heart, using the latest spherical ambience capture surround sound multitrack recording techniques. This is a SURROUND SOUND stereo compatible compact disk, produced, mastered and encoded by us  in CIRCLE SURROUND® here at our studios.  It can be played on any mono or stereo system, but also includes the added realism of the encoded CIRCLE SURROUND® matrixing, allowing playback on a variety of surround sound systems. The other current stereo compatible CD is an exciting new piano album by the gifted composer/pianist CHAD HARDIN,  of original virtuosic musical reflections  producing breathtaking piano sounds in  the full surround  ambience of a historic 200 year old Connecticut concert hall. Three years ago, a third ragtime album was recorded, produced and mastered here in Connecticut for Elite Syncopations. And another Saint Gregory Society performance of a Palestrina Christmas Mass has been recorded and is now available from the Saint Gregory Society. 

  Part of our audio work also involves providing sound for multimedia applications: voice overs, music, and SFX for training films, videos, educational and entertainment CD-ROM's, and radio commercials. Over the last couple of years, we did all the background music, sound effects, and narrations for several of the repertory road shows sent out by the National Theater of the Performing Arts, Ltd. We also did all the music, audio, narrations and sound effects for Caboodle, The Interactive Magazine for Kids on CD-ROM - providing voice overs, original music and SFX for the publication.

"Tiny Radio Theatre" ®  humor bits 'n pieces have been featured on public radio, and form a basis for humor in both commercial and educational presentations. Working as a principal in both the SHUBERT RADIO THEATER and the LONG WHARF RADIO THEATER, both with performance and technical participation, we have a considerable talent pool to work with on our radio and multimedia productions.

Harpsichord Workshops:
I've made 38 keyboard instruments since 1976, primarily in the French and Flemish traditions. Some from scratch, and some from parts. I still keep the workshop going, but primarily to voice, regulate, and repair our instruments and those of some close friends. We currently have nine keyboard critters of various kinds living here (no, Virginia, NOT including the computers!)
It's fun to show off one of our oldest children:
A French Double style harpsichord built here in 1978.
Linda Skernick is a well known concert harpsichordist who has much to say about the instruments made and worked on here!
Music Performances
Linda is also active onstage with "Linda Skernick and Friends" offering baroque chamber music performances, and with some assistance or hindrance from meself, we do a show called "Harpsichords & Humor"......... (New England Touring Foundation/CT Arts page)
